# How to find properties subject to TOD parking reduction standards
This Knowledge Base article refers to provisions in the TOD 2022 ordinance, which we [[Connected Communities|summarized in another article]]. There are two sections: primary and expanded parking reduction zoning districts. The primary districts will apply to most Chicago Cityscape members, and the expanded districts will apply only to those developing assisted housing or majority affordable housing.
## Finding properties in the "primary" parking reduction zoning districts
In the previous TOD ordinance, only developments (existing and new construction) in B, C, D, and M zoning districts could take advantage of the parking reduction benefit. In the 2022 TOD ordinance, adopted July 20, 2022, the benefit can also be used in RM-5, RM-5.5, RM-6, RM-6.5, and PMD subarea B zoning districts. The ordinance also made a 50 percent reduction in the off-street parking requirement the standard (as of right). Reducing further, or having more than this, in some situations, requires an administrative adjustment.
This tutorial will demonstrate how to find properties that are eligible for the "primary" (typical) parking reduction (see *Screenshot 1*).
1. Open a Place Report for a place in Chicago.
2. Click the "Property Finder" button to open Property Finder. Once the data is loaded, the filters will appear.
3. In the Property Finder filters, locate "Filter by Chicago zoning".
4. In the "Filter by Chicago zoning" text box, search for "TOD" by typing in those letters.
5. Select the "TOD prim. parking districts (RM-5+,B,C,D,M,PMD-B)" result.
6. Now, locate "Filter by transit / TOD proximity" and click "Chicago TOD/TSL".
7. Click the "Apply filters" button. After a moment, the data table and map will refresh to show properties that are both within a TOD area and in one of the eligible zoning districts.

## Finding properties in the "expanded" parking reduction zoning districts
In addition to the standards described in the previous section, it's possible to have parking reductions in these additional zoning districts: RS, RT, and RM-4.5. The reduction is 100 percent as of right, and applies to residential projects wherein 50 percent of the dwelling units are assisted housing or certified affordable. (Therefore, the "expanded" parking reduction set of zoning districts does not apply in M, DS, and PMD subarea B zoning districts.)
This tutorial will demonstrate how to find properties that are eligible for the "expanded" parking reduction.
5. Select the "TOD expand. parking districts" result.
6. Now, locate "Filter by transit / TOD proximity" and click "Chicago TOD/TSL".
7. Click the "Apply filters" button. After a moment, the data table and map will refresh to show properties that are both within a TOD area and in one of the eligible zoning districts.
