# Finding transportation, distribution, and logistics (TDL) facilities
Chicago Cityscape has a map of many of the essential transportation, distribution, and logistics (TDL) facilities in Chicagoland to help with cargo-oriented development. Use this information to determine how far away from a given property the relevant facility is. This can help with #site-selection by understanding how far trucks will have to travel to deliver or pick up goods.
## What kinds of TDL facilities we map
Chicago Cityscape has the following facilities mapped:
- United States Postal Service (USPS) sorting centers. This includes Cardiss Collins at 433 W Harrison Street in Chicago and smaller facilities, but does not include post offices.
- FedEx, UPS, and DHL sorting and distribution centers.
- Amazon facilities (including fulfillment centers, sortation centers, and delivery stations).
- Third-party logistics (3PL) facilities (including AeroTerm, Lincoln, Logistics Property Co., Presort, Target, TFI International, Unilogic, and Unis)
- Intermodal yards, including ones operated by Union Pacific (UP), BNSF, Norfolk Southern (NS), and
## How to find TDL facilities
There are two methods to locate TDL facilities, which are based on whether you already have a property in mind.
### Starting *without* a specific property in mind
Use Property Finder to filter for properties that are near a TDL facility (or electricity substation).
1. Open a Property Report or a Place Report.
2. In a Property Report, select "Property Finder" in the table of contents and the browser will scroll to that section and select the "Load Property Finder" button. In a Place Report, select the "Load Property Finder button" if Property Finder hasn't already opened.
3. At the bottom of the Property Finder filters look for "Additional filters" and select the "reveal additional filters" link.
4. In the additional filters, look for "Transportation & logistics" (see *screenshot 1* below). Select one of the radio button options to filter for properties that are near a known sorting center (or distribution or fulfillment center) where you might be dropping off packages for shipment to customers.
5. Select the "Apply filters" button.
6. Scroll up to the data table and map, which will refresh to show properties that meet the TDL facility criterion you selected.

1. Look up a Property Report, or a Place Report.
2. In the table of contents, select "Additional snapshots".
3. Select Logistics Snapshot.
